Here they are, nothing real elegant. I used a 6 foot HDMI cable, dropped it down and out on passenger side behind the center console front piece, then looped around, under the center console trim up to the center console. I drilled a hole large enough for the HDMI wire, close to the downward edge and broke it through. The only 'bad' thing is the console lid kinda pushes down on the wire when closed but I'm sure it will hold up for quite a while.

Sorry the first is a little blurry....
Thanks for the photos. So you didn't see any other way to run the cable without pinching it? Just curious before I take mine apart again.

At first I didn't realize the console lid had that center piece that projects downward, that's what's pinching the cable.

Another approach would be to drill a larger hole (one wide enough for the end of the HDMI cable to pass through) below the line in, USB, etc. That way, the cable wouldn't get pinched but you'd have a [approximate] 3/4" hole in the lower front of the interior console. I was trying to minimize the size of the hole but I may [eventually] do that myself.

Loaded up some .mp4 music videos on my thumb drive, plugged it into the units aux usb cable in my glove box, selected the source from the menu and bam, music videos up on my 8" screen, have to say just about the most fun I have had in my car, cranking Nicki Minja - Starships and Peter Gabriel - Sledehammer videos for now, fantastic experience, never had something like this in a car before. And of course now my mission is to scour the internet for a bunch more vids, lol.

Does anybody know why the front sd slot was removed from service? This makes it very difficult to update the nav and unit of the USB isn't functional like mine.

At one point in this thread Moddiction stated that they had issues with system errors when they used the front reader so they disabled it.

Hmmmm, last week I read through 51 pages of this thread and I never saw anything about system errors, just that "the gps ran faster in the back slot" so they moved it to the back slot. Initially, there was no mention of disabling the front slot, simply that if there was a card in the back slot, the front slot became inactive.

It wasn't until later that the topic of disconnecting the front slot came up.

Speaking of GPS, has anyone just put the antenna in the glove box and have it work normal or does it have to be up on the dash, haven't had the chance to use the nav yet.

Maybe it was another thread, but I could swear I remember reading that somewhere.

Did anyone actually try moving the SD to the front?

The pic shows the flat cable that connects the front SD slot to the unit, anyone remembers seeing it on their unit?

I don't recall seeing it. As a matter of fact, I don't recall seeing the little green circuit board either
