It is suppose to be In SYNC, go to SYSTEM SETTINGS, ADVANCED, MAP PROFILE. Set MAP PROFILE to ON
According to my conversation with ford today this is what we need to do to get the messaging working but I cannot find this anywhere on the new system.

Were you getting text notifications prior to installing this unit?

It was but after install I did a master reset so I have to go back in and turn it back on. I don't want to have to uninstall the whole thing to turn it back on

MAP should be on by default, or at least its never turned off in one of the few instances where I've done a master reset.

Ok so how would you creat the profile? If it is on you would still have to go in and create the profile that was erased when the master sync reset was done just like with the original system you have to go in turn it on then tell it to create the profile?

As for gps path file.

Click browse and then select the primo exe file. It will then load nav software.
I browsed and found a Primo folder, I looked in each of the sub-folders but can't find an executable? Can anybody point me in the right direction? Otherwise, everything else seems to work well.

I need to pull the unit back out today because dopey me didn't attach the USB cable that will, apparently, be used for updates. :frusty: Glad I didn't reinstall ALL the trim until sure that everything was working well.

I used my own HDMI cable and ran back to the center console, had to drill a 3/8" hole in the edge so the cable wouldn't get pinched when reassembling the console. I'd rather have it there than in the glovebox.

Oh, one more thing, where is the micro SD slot in the back? I didn't see it while assembling the unit.

The slot is in the top left corner of the unit you screwed to the screen.

Can you post some photos of what you did with the hdmi?

Once you select the Primo file you actually have to scroll down to find the .exe file then you select that. I wasn't seeing it at first either but didn't notice you could scroll.

Here's a weird question, how do you scroll? I tried sliding my finger on the slide, tapping the up/down arrow, and the arrows buttons on the console, nothing.

I believe it's to the right of the box, can't remember exactly. But you did tap the Primo folder first correct? Then it will have "..." if I remember correctly and you have to scroll down. Sorry, my memory is kind of vague, I stayed up all night doing it and reset it a couple of times.
