Install is easy! Pop a couple panels off and then about 10 bolts to remove everything from car. Plug and play kit.

You do swap some oem parts over for buttons but no splicing of wiring or anything. Plug and play extension harness is included.

Just to clarify; not swapping out mother boards or anything?

You do swap that over. It's a matter of 10 or so little screws though. Not at all intimidating once you see it.

I know it's a long shot (and maybe a dumb question), but can anyone tell me if OB2 info happens to show what gear you're in on manuals? I kinda like how the Camaro lets you know on screen.

The OBD2 info for gear doesn't seem to change for manual trans car as of now. I will speak with software designers to see if that can be added but the signals may just not be there for manual car. I haven't tried it on an auto car but it should work for them. It stays in P unless you go into reverse and you can see it briefly change to R before the backup camera clicks on.

btw would this be able to support the auto volume gain based on speed, like the original 4" SYNC does?
