Stay tuned, doign a custom install. It might be a hot minute to get it finished as some of the AN fittings I want/need are out of stock. But I wanted to post this up and share the catch can from ImprovedRacing.

If you were not familiar with these guys' products, they have a few coyote/modular parts, but their stuff is top shelf. I've bought quite a few random pieces for different projects over time and their quality and craftsmanship is incredible. It's one of those companies where the pieces are soo pretty, I'd rather hang them on a wall in my office than put them on the car, LOL. Customer service is incredible. I've even used their custom hose assembly service before as well. Can't say enough.

I already know some of you are goign to ask why! Why all the drama for a catch can? There's soo many plug and play options ready to go, why reinvent the wheel, bla bla bla? Because this is fun, that's why. I love AN fittings like a fat kid loves Oreo's, and no plug and play option out there meets my needs in this regard. Plus, there's no can out there of this caliber. Yeeeeesss yes, I know I know, they all do the same job. Got it, thanks. But for now, check it out....

It looks really nice and has obviously been geeked by an engineer, but 250 bucks? Show me data comparing it to a UPR and maybe........

Finally another update. This has been slow as I've been acting as a 350 test bed for Improved. They've been sending me bracket designs to test fit. Maybe not a surprise, but we've discovered there's some differences that prevent a S550 bracket from working on the 350 in their primary location.

During inbetween periods, I came up with my own location and will probably stick with this one. I like it. Pictures should be pretty self explanatory, but if not, happy to answer.

Yes, this install location necessitated the removal of the windshield washer fluid bottle. Of note, I have 36,000 miles on the car and the washer has never been used. Thus, it was not a very difficult decision to live with (I also have a 2002 F150 I bought brand new with 250,000 on the clock and the washer has never been used). It was very very close also, meaning that I may look into some minor mods to the bottle mounting locations to see if I can reinstall it. But, the bottle out of the way makes for a clean install and I really don't care.

As an added bonus, if anyone recalls my radiator dran modification, the washer bottle being gone allows me to reach down in there and actually reach my drain valve from inside the engine compartment without having to open up the fender liner a little bit. More argument to leave it as is (https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/radiator-drain-solved.206513/)

This just shows the mounting location, but with the AN hose ends attached. The hose will be here in a couple days and I can button everything up. While everything was apart, i went ahead and installed a new PCV valve and new J2044 fittings from Improved.

Shit, no. Sorry. Great idea. But, there’s some good shots on their website and some good promotional videos floating around.

All finished. Finally got the Earl’s fittings I had been waiting on. Couldn’t be happier with the install. Looks kool, cleans up the area around the expansion tank, love it. I’m sure some think the juice ain’t worth the squeeze, but that’s not really why I’d did it. Another super fun project in the books.

Where would I even start. One through ten. Price (1) location (1) removal of washer bottle (-5) appearance (10) complexity of installation (3) serviceability (4). This unit is not as clean of a fitment as UPR. As long as the hoses are you should have just mounted the SOB in the trunk, and you could keep the washer bottle. UPR, No mounting brkt. short hoses with quick disconnect fittings, unscrew the bottom and empty the can. Cost $175.00. Installation, screw the two fittings into the can snap on the two hoses to the can and snap the other end of each hose to the breather ports. Job done. Three minutes total! Oh, I forgot find a place to put the UPR sticker. That took longer! See photo.
