That's BS - the transport companies should be bending over backward to take care of and keep a good customer like Ford. It's pretty simple: If a Mustang gets loaded facing forward on a transport trailer, there's a good chance it will get damaged.

Both of the GT 350s that arrived at my dealer in last month were loaded the wrong way on the truck, and both were damaged underneath. In the case of my car, the bottom of the right fang and the underside of the front bumper cover were scraped. Fortunately, the mounting tabs for the spoiler molded into the bumper cover weren't damaged, but I have seen cars that hit the deck so hard that the mounting tabs were entirely ground off. Then the whole front bumper cover needs to be replaced and painted to match. That's a lot of expense for truck drivers not following the clear and easy instructions Ford provides. I've also heard that the aero panels under the engines of some cars have been damaged.

This is an inexcusable and preventable problem.

I only said that because of the recent truck driver issues and pay. Maybe they just don't give a damn about what they haul...

But as in your case, that is just total lack of care about the job you deliver. I'd fire that ass hat on the spot.

I guarantee the damage was from the railroad, not the driver, because drivers would have to pay for damages. I would never load the last vehicle backwards, you would get an overweight ticket which also cost money

In all due respect, how can you guarantee the damage is due to railroad when we all have evidence of cars loaded improperly on trucks?

Wouldn't it then fall on the truck driver to document such damage prior to transport since he is responsible for on/off loading?

Mine didn't come by rail or semi transport. It came by a 3 car private transportation service. And my lower right corner is ground also. The way I know this is because I told the dealer not to install the splitter because I might go the R splitter instead. Also I have photos when I went to flat rock I seen first hand of them loading them onto trucks forward and not in reverse.

Voodoo, wouldn't the 3-car transport as you show above (thanks for the pic btw) not correlate to the loading instructions for semi transport?

Seems like the 3-car transport is a little different.

I'm just saying my car came on a 3 car transport and the right lower bumper cover is also ground up. I noticed it when I was under my car snooping around. I haven't installed my splitter yet because I am waiting for the R splitter, but now I'm going to replace my bumper cover because of the grinding marks and also the broken tabs I posted before. Also the aluminum ramps they use have a lip on the edges that face up wards and it made contact with the bumper. My bumper isn't that bad, but it's enough to drive me nuts. Even thought the splitter will cover it completely.

Can you post that picture here please? FP asked me to send reports of incorrectly loaded GT 350s and photos so they can look into this problem.

Which leads me to the next message ...

Was your GT 350 damaged during transport?

If you have photos of your GT 350 improperly loaded on a transport (front end forward, instead of being backed onto the trailer), please post them here, along photos of any front end damage caused by improper loading. FP has asked for customer input on this topic, and I will send the info to them. Thanks!

I'll take some when I get home from work. My lower right corner is minimal but I also have assembly issues on the bumper where it mounts to the upper core support. I've contacted ford with no response. And I refuse to take it to the dealer for repairs.

Maybe this thread needs to attain "sticky" status...
