So I had a very interesting failure yesterday. One of my idler pulleys basically just broke. I believe the idler pulley for the supercharger locked up, causing the lower idler pulley near the crank pulley to break and shear the belt. Not quite sure how it happened though just a guess. The idler pulley underneath the supercharger pulley was definitely not good so I swapped that one too.

Has anyone else had this type of failure?

Never had one come apart, did notice a little run-out in the upper idler so I changed it out.

The bearing was just fine. The one that didn't break wasn't turning smooth at all so I think that was my issue.

I dont have the whipple but have a buddy that does and he is still having squealing issues after many attempts to fix it,u think this might have something to do with that?

Honestly not sure but I will say that when I installed the blower I thought there was a funny squeak but it never went away so I assumed it was normal. It's now gone and I can hear the blower whistling more now at low RPM. So take what you want from that, it could be a coincidence.
