Congrats! Can't wait for mine to come in a few weeks. Like you, my last car with a manual tranny was a suburu outback I last drove in 2004 so I was also wondering how quickly it will come back.

Regarding protection, I've been recommended Xpel from an M2 owner - that's what I'll likely do.

It's like riding a bike, you never forget. You may be a little rusty at first, not as smooth as I would like, but that's just getting used to the car (downshifting is more difficult to get smooth... at least for me). Playing around with rev matching, because it sounds so good. This car is so easy to drive though, the clutch is really light and you don't have to really give it much gas if any on level ground.

I haven't driven a manual in 17 years, but this car is a breeze to drive. The exhaust note, power, and the handling is unmatched for the price! I'm a car guy, but never owned a performance car... always practical vehicles.

I say get your car some PPF for real peace of mind, at least the whole front end and top portion of roof top + full hood and behind front wheels and in front of rear wheels.

Update: I got ceramic coat applied yesterday (CQuartz). I'm very happy with it!!! Approaching 500 miles on her. It's such a blast to drive. Did have an off duty cop flash his badge at me at a stop light and tell me to slow it down.

I'm getting the windows tinted Saturday morning!

Look at passport max 360. It's expensive but will save a lot of speeding tickets.

Funny, I just bought a escort passport 9500ix platinum from Coscto for $299. I bought a close mount and installed it yesterday evening, but after 10 minutes of use it displayed service and said call service.:frusty: I called, they said it's defective and it would be faster if I returned at Costco.
