I've called six different shops in my area from NTB and Firestone to Sullivan Tire. Most tell me they won't install anything over 19".

I call Sullivan today (they said they'd install the other day) and they tell me they won't install the rear (305/35/20) as the rolling diameter is outside of stock (asked for current set-up: 255/40/19 squared).

I'm driving a 2016 Mustang GT if that matters as well.

So does anyone in Mass know of a good place to go to get these wheels and tires put on?

Try 305/30.

A 305-30/20 is only .2ā€ larger in diameter. I run that size all around and it works great.

I'll try it out. What's weird is one shop will do it, one won't and the last said they'd have to, "Send my wheels out".

This was all from Sullivan tire who is the only one willing to put the 20s on.

Or if you're dead set on the size, tell them you just want them mount/balanced then put them on the car yourself...

Not really. I'll go 295 in the back if need be. I just like staggered and want to fill out those gaps in the well.

Plus, I'm lowering the car and inch, too

It's strange that some shops are basing their decision on the wheel size alone, especially since there are 20" stock wheel options. Ultimately, fitment issues (diameter too large, etc.) will depend on the tire dimensions.

The chains tend to be conservative. When I replaced my stock 235/50/18s with 275/40/19s, Firestone told me they were "scared" of rubbing when they brought the car down on the lift after the install. I was at stock ride height so it really wasn't even that close. I'd look for a family owned shop that's not a chain.

My car is lowered an inch with 305/35/19ā€™s and the tops of the tires are at the fenders. The wheels are well inside the wheel wells so fitment isnā€™t an issue, but depending on your offset, youā€™re gonna rub. Iā€™d step down a size as stated above

The wheels themselves are 9.5x20 (25mm) off set and 10.5x20 (42mm) offset.

The 305/30/20 will probably be my best bet as others have said.

What's wild is that one Sullivan tire said they would do it where another said they wouldn't. Doesn't make sense lol

I donā€™t understand why they wonā€™t install it. If they donā€™t fit, then take them off, simple. Like someone said, just have them mounted and balanced and you can install them. Iā€™m assuming you already have the tires, so exchanging probably wonā€™t be simple. There are people running 315/35/20 which are much larger diameter than stock. The Nitto 555R come in 305/35/20 and people run them.
