Having waited 12 months nearly just to get the car would you pay 5000 grand extra to jump the queue and get your car guaranteed in three months. Likewise would you buy the gt350 if it was for sale is Australia .

No and yes (if I could afford it. Pretty sure Ford AU will slug a huge premium on it if it comes here).

Let's say get 350 at 15 percent premium over average U.S. Price as it differs per dealer . So I could say around 135 grand

I wouldn't pay to skip the queue, even though people suggested I might have.

I have already placed a deposit in the event a GT350 comes

I would say to the dealer, either you take my order less your $5,000 tax, and I still want it in 3 months, otherwise I would walk out of the dealership. If Ford tried that ploy it would cost them long term sales / backlash from buyers

GT350, hell yeah!!

As the dealer only has a certain amount of cars allocated that they know will sell I don't think they would be too fussed about someone walking out

Yeah, good point. They have you over a barrel either way

Only if you absolutely must have it. If the dealer called me tomorrow and said it'll be another $5k or you'll be waiting 18 months I'd tell them to return my deposit and buy one of the other options I was considering.

I've had mine for 4 months now. I was offered an early race red in June over a Ruby Red which was due about now. I am the happiest little camper EVER. I have loved every single moment owning it and driving it. Knowing I could get in one now, I couldnt possibly imagine waiting another 6 months, let alone another 12-18.
The $5k is a bit cheeky, but knowing what I know now, and having had the fun I've had, if that was the only way, I'd do it......

The wait made me love it even more...
Although it did suck at the time.
People buying now are paying 5k more and waiting longer?
