Has anyone used this on their car?

I am getting the paint protection done this week.

I was looking at this because it seems like I can get most of the benefits of ceramic with the easy application of wax. So I can maintain it myself.

Chemical Guys HydroSlick Intense Gloss SiO2 Ceramic Coating HyperWax |

Let me know what you think or if you have used it.

Thanks!

How often do you apply it? Will it survive getting caught in the rain a couple of time?

I just did mine this past weekend. I used all Chemical guys products in the following order.

Ecosmart Watreless wash
Claybar
C4
P4
Hydrocharge
Hydroslick
V07
Butterwet wax

The Hydrocharge applies easier than the Hydroslick. You might also want to look into Carbon Force. It lasts quite a bit longer than the other 2.

It will last about 8 months on a daily car and up to 12 on a rarely driven car. You don't have to but if you stack products it will last a lot longer. Let me know if you have any questions or need help.

I do a full day paint correction and detail once a year... 12 glorious hours of bonding with the car.
After that, I use the HydroSlick, and I the use the V07 Sealant about 3 times a month.
My car does not see rain, so I am of no help on how the HydroSlick handles that.
I like it...!!!!

I applied it once last summer. It's about time to do it again, but I can tell it's still there. Yes a few rainy days will be fine.

My Mustang lives outside 24/7.
I used the hyper wax a few times after a cleaning.
It had a very odd consistency, reminds me of stiff jell-o
Applies easily, takes a good amount of elbow grease to buff out.
Overall it makes the next cleaning quite easy and holds up to several rain storms very well.
