Hurst shift handle for auto

Pistol grip shifters were first made available for the 1970 year Mopar 4-speed cars.

From a functional perspective, the grip shape may facilitate a more precise gear change when shifting a manual transmission.

Aesthetically however, IMHO...the overall appearance of this Hurst unit in the S550 console just doesn't work.
I believe it would be much better suited for use in something like the new Ranger or Bronco.

....Or the Batmoblle....:lol:

$200 for just a shift knob though? It doesn't make it shift any faster, just $200 for some VatoZone-looking accessory... What's next, fake fender vents, a "Limited Edition" placard for the trunk, some underbody neons, and a non-functional ABS hood scoop that attaches with double sided tape? Don't forget to pick up one of those Tornado Air Management Systems while you're at it.

handle came in yesterday, no time to install. Its cool but should be priced for maybe $50 on the lower end to $75 on the higher end.

drove car in dark this morning for 1st time. Console is not lighting up, hope I didn't blow the little bulb. UGG!

it actually looks cool in the car. Does get hot in the Florida sun, need to invest in a window shade.

The first of Feb. wooden side plates will be an option and would be cooler in the sun. Loving my Hurst.

As an auto driver I have to say a $200 upgraded shift knob seems ridiculous and that does look like it would cost no more than $40
