So I installed my hpipe from cjpony parts today. Car sounds way better than stock, but the only complaint I have is this weird noise coming from underneath the car or within the mufflers. It happens at almost idle, coming to a stop, or around1500 rpm. Sounds like if a set of keys are stuck inside the exhaust system and are just floating around making noise. Any ideas of what this could be? I made sure everything was tightened down properly.

Btw, sorry if something similar has already been posted, I couldn't find anything related to this. Thanks in advance!

Just rechecked and reteighten all the bolts. Sounds like the rattling is coming from the mufflers themselves.

I have this same sound now (stock everything). thought it was the cat.

Ford is ordering me a new resonator. I am torn, because I plan on removing said resonator. But I dont want to do that untill they fix my noise.

You say you have an h pipe, and have the same noise as me. So I am not sure how to proceed.

I lifted the stang and made sure the noise wasn't coming from the engine or anything before the cats. Sounds like mine is coming after the hpipe was installed, but it sounds like the muffler isn't meant for more flow or something. Almost 100% positive it's the muffler and nothing else. Not to debunk what the dealer said, but I've had bad experiences before with ford service department and I don't think the problem is the resonator

Had an f150 with a bad bearing and the dealer wouldn't take care of it, they told me it was my tires (new btw). Wanted to fool me but I had checked it before I took it in and I determined it was the problem. Needless to say, they charged me for a check up and what not. I don't trust the stealerships at all.

yes. i want to remove the suitcase. but i want the noises i hear to be fixed before i take it out, if that makes sense.

dont want to get into a situation where i still have this noise and they blame it on my changes.

Exhaust work won't void your warranty. Take the suitcase off and maybe get an axle back. That's what I have planned just waiting on more $$ to come in.
