HPDE prior to PPF install?

Hi guys, I am looking to get in on the NASA AZ HPDE 1 course this weekend but am unsure if it's wise to go at a track day without any PPF? I'm due to get install next week so I'm hesitant to take it out prior to the install. I'm curious if an event like this supplies any temporary PPF for the day or is there something I should look into buying on my own?

Also, does anyone have an idea how often these types of HPDE 1 training days happen this time of he year in AZ?

You can get temporary ppf, but I doubt they sell it at the track. Alot of porsche guys use it. Google track wrap and you can order a roll. The smallest they have is 6×40. Me personally, I just drove it and enjoyed it

You could masking tape in a pinch

Buy some TrakkTape; less than $100 is cheap insurance. I'd recommend the 6"x100' roll; the 3" can be pretty time-consuming to apply, and depending on how much of the car you want to cover, won't be enough.

The two groups I've found in the Phoenix area are Nasa, which you know about, and pro auto sports. Also, make sure you sign up for the GT350 track attack too. It's free and located in Salt Lake City.

NASA and ProAuto usually run 1-2 events per month here.

I wouldn't even drive the car that much personally, let alone do a track day before getting PPF done. My car had 350 miles on it at the time and I drove -extremely- carefully.

If you're talking about protecting the front of the car, please do. I didn't... and I collected at least 50+ tiny chips along the front of my car. Next time, I'll be going out with an entire vinyl car bra on the front of the car. I was pissed for days. I may have the car repainted next year - it's not obvious to anyone really, but I notice it.

Yeah, I'm pretty active. I'm spread between the GT350 and the RS at HPDEs and also do LeMons racing. Next day(s) I'm planning on attending is ProAuto at Wild Horse Main on Thanksgiving weekend. I may share my buddies race prep'd S197 for that weekend though.
