Every time it rains or I wash the car the emblem gets different spots of moisture in it. Any way I can fix this myself?

Pull up from one of the bottom corners. There is definitely plastic on that badge

I got a very fine point tweezer and found the edge of the plastic. However it was pretty thick and brittle. There was also glue residue underneath the plastic so I decided to get a heat gun and see if that fixed the problem. It did the trick but time will tell if it is a permanent fix. Iā€™m not sure the plastic was made to come off or not but if I still keep getting moisture Iā€™ll remove it completely.
Thanks

The plastic film is to protect the shiny badge face until it is installed. Then it is to be removed.

I see. When I bought the car it already had the badge on it so I assumed the previous owner did everything he was supposed too.
Thanks

Mine is doing the same thing and there doesnā€™t appear to be a plastic cover on mine. I took a knife to the edges to see if I could get under the potential cover and ended up chipping the enamel
