If you have noticed on all the TV commercials for all car makers, when they offer the incentives, such as rebates, or cashbacks, or what ever they call them, the disclaimer at the bottom in very small print states that you Must take delivery by a specified date in order to receive that particular incentive. Not place the order. You must "take delivery". So, you get whatever is offered at the time of delivery. And as you stated, that could be None. I was told this also by me dealer when I placed the order. Luckily, in my case, I have family retired from Ford, so I got the car on the Z plan, and also got a $1000 rebate at time of delivery. I hope you do get something my friend.
Yes, this is what my dealer has told me as well. I have a new Edge coming, it's actually in route. It may or may not show up by 9/8. I want to use the 0% 72 month plus $1K bonus cash, so I called the Program HQ number listed in the Incentives thread yesterday and the nice woman on the phone told me she could not protect or lock anything in for me that I had to work with my dealer on that. My dealer told me that when the car arrives he will run a check in the system for all available incentives/rebates I'm eligible for and apply them to the purchase. So hopefully my vehicle comes by 9/8, but if it doesn't it looks like I'm SOL.

Understood. I think your case may evolve into a TV commercial where the excited voice announces that the "summer sale has been extended!" Happens every year around this time.

Read through this thread and see how a lot of us got our incentives protected since a few of you don't believe it can be done.

It's not that I don't believe you it's just that I have hit a dead end on the "how". I called program HQ and talked to my dealer and neither could/would lock anything in for me.

Like I already explained, you can't have it protected your dealer has to call Program HQ and have them protected.

Apparently it's a very new program and most dealers are not aware of it. I read about it here before I took delivery and when I asked my dealer about it he had no idea. I e mailed him the information and he e mailed Program HQ and copied me in on the e mail so I could see the response. They locked them in for him, when I called myself they couldn't do it for me but said my dealer could. Maybe it's because of X Plan that I could get incentives protected. Can't hurt to ask your dealer to e mail them for you and ask. It's ridiculous that dealers are unaware of these programs, they get reimbursed for the incentives so it costs them nothing.
