Uninsured Motorist coverage cannot be used to fix the damage. It only covers your medical bills. Ask me how I know...
either way my insurance coverage will be handling my repairs. Her 10k won’t be coming to me as the person she rear ended looks to be totalled

both passenger side tails lights are cracked so they need to be replace. One has a crack at the mounting base and the other has a cracked lense. It’s not going to be cheap I tell you
i just checked... those tail light are not expensive... I'll say $3500 MAX for us.... Regular person using a random body shop: as much as they can get.

Expensive stuff to fix? Volvo and bentley... lexus? pfff...

Hello; A couple of thoughts. First in the unibody cars damage can show up in odd places. Check that the doors open and close properly and look at the gaps. Alignment can be affected so that ought to be part of the fix, at least to be checked.

unfortunately yes it is. My claim adjuster said that should be illegal because cars now a days are getting more expensive.

Hello; Part of the increased expense are the cameras and sensors built into bumpers and the parts of cars in places more likely to be hit in a collision.

I removed the hardness that has the sensors before the bumper fell off. I will post pictures later

they sue her right? they better.

ie. you have 20k loss of car, but she has 10k damage protection, they take 10k from her policy, 10k from yours, but your insurance is now supposed to SUE her for 10k correct?

otherwise, there's no incentive to cover yourself than bare minimums. she better get sued. tired of people skirting the system on so many things.

I don’t know if they will but I’m pretty upset that people can ride with these kind of policies. Not fair to everyone else or even to someone that decides to not carry uninsured motorist. If I didn’t have it I will be SOL
