I miss the 2 racecars the most, built everything myself, cage, suspension, engine, drilled and plumbed fogger sys on intake, trans, brakes, rearend, paint etc.
I had the 66 Fastback racecar for 20yrs and the 89 LX racecar for 4 yrs
I would buy Mustangs keep them a little while, fix what they needed and sell them and make a little money to support racing.
Childern, college and life in general finally took over and I let everything go.
Now I have the 99 GT I gave my son and the 2015 GT, enjoying watching my son go Mustang crazy. :clap2:

so far I have owned 3, and technically 4 if you count sorta a joint ownership...

first one I had the pleasure of owning was a 2004 Cobra.. this one is the joint. My father purchased this, and essentially let me drive it, its the car that I learned how to drive a manual on. He shared that thing with me and boy did it turn me right into an enthusiast.

Second one was my 2003 Mach 1 in azure blue. Bought a flow master cat back. a B&M short shifter. and a nice procharger setup and enjoyed the hell out of it until i traded it in for #3

Third one, was a 2007 GT bought right off the lot as I liked it. Then went through a couple classic design concepts aesthetics and then decided to purchase a roush stage from my dealer that I worked at and have that installed. So essentially I had a Roush for a little while

Fourth, my ECOBOOST s550... so far its love and hate but more love honestly...
Magna flow comp, Airaid intake, LMS tune on its way, and hopefully a MAP intercooler by next spring.... this thing is fun as hell
Nice, those Cobras were awesome performers, especially at the time!

I am on my 20th.

Rank:

1. 2015 GT
2. 2008 Shelby GT500
3. 2005 GT
4. 1965 K Code convertible
5. 1966 Fastback (Hertz Replica)
6. 1965 Fastback GT
7. 1965 Convertible v8
8. 1966 Convertible v8

The rest are 65 and 66 various ones. So I just listed my top 8 favorites. Before you ask, I am only 49, and I have owned mustangs since I was 16.
Wow, 20 has to be a record, can anyone beat that?! I see you like the first gens too. Actually looked at a GT350-H replica this past weekend at a local shop.

Enjoying reading all the good responses, you all have had some cool cars. Sometimes, reading this forum, it seems like a lot of S550 owners are Euro & Japanese converts. That's great for the Mustang and community, but it is good to see some other lifelong Mustang fans on as well!
