It appears my hood is rubbing on my wiper arm. Has anyone had this issue? I just got the car everything looks straight no accidents on car fax.

I'll go ahead and assume you meant "the wiper arm is rubbing on the hood".

Picture?

I'll grab a picture when I go outside. It looks like it's almost rubbing just sitting and you can see on the wiper where it has been rubbing. Maybe it isn't clamped down all the way?

Yeah it is rubbing. I can push down on it a little and both wipers go down like its loose under the cover. I'm going to read the links above for answers as well.

Ok the bottom one seems like something to look into. The others are about raising the arm. Mine is always touching the hood.

Did you ever find a fix for this? Mine started doing the same shortly after my dealer replacing windshield and I really don't want to take it back to them.

I never took it all the way off. It isnt a daily so it isnt in the rain much. I have a new hood on the way so ill be tearing into it soon. I really thing pulling the arms off, then the cowl, should give me access and ive heard it just pops back in. I just havent yet.

I have been able to pop it back in place without taking anything apart but it always eventually gets back to where it's rubbing

I just picked my ‘15 GT and this is the first thing I noticed when it rained. There is a wear mark on the passenger wiper arm, and matching wear mark on the underside of the hood.

I could move with my hand the wiper shaft up and down by a little over an inch.

I took the wipers off and partially removed the cowel cover. What I found was the washer on the bolt/busing that secures the left side of the wiper assembly was missing. This was allowing the movement.

I replaced the washer with one I happen to have. And it’s been great since.

It’s not clear to me if this was a factory defect or if the previous owner reassembled it incorrectly at some point.

Any pictures? Any more info on this? Mine if to the point I'm missing a good chunk of my hood due to how extreme it's rubbing. Going to need a good bit of Bondo to repair. Would love not spend 1.5k to get it painted and repaired and then have it damaged again. How do I fix the arm so it stops rubbing? Please help
