Hood release replacement/not working?

On my 2017 I tried to pop the hood last night and noticed that I can't get it open. The release from the interior does pop it, but the actual yellow latch release seems to not be connected to anything now. I've tried pushing left, right, pulling forward and left and it isn't doing anything.

Any ideas on how to get this corrected/open? I'm assuming I'll need to replace the part but any idea on the part number?

edit » just had to really get on it in the end, looked like there was some cable slack but it finally got open. Will be getting some silicon or lithium grease.
