Hey guys I have always noticed this but just wanted to see if everyone else has the same issue? When I am feeling like driving spiritedly and have some open sections of highway as the speeds climb into the triple digit territory the hood flutters quiet a bit it almost looks like a it is going to distort and actually get damaged. I realize its probably just the aluminum hood and aerodynamics of the car but just curious if others have noticed this?

When I was in Mexico doing 151 mph I noticed a bit of flutter but not enough to concern me.

Its a known issue.. some cars are worse then others. a set of redline hood struts solved my minor hood movement!

Yes, I first noticed it on track at the end of a front straight going about 126 MPH. Some have suggested adding some 3/8" semi-circular weather stripping on top of the headlights, where there is an obvious air gap. I've done that since my last track day, so I don't know if that will help or not. I suspect it doesn't hurt. Another suggestion is to raise the rubber hood stops at the front corners to ensure that they make contact with the hood, which puts additional resistance against the center hood latch. That should help a bit at least. (My rubber stops were not touching the hood at all the day I noticed hood flutter on track.)

Mine starts at about 140. It's kinda annoying and will be looking for a solution soon. Some of you guys have adjusted some hood stops before if I remember right...?

Thanks guys for the suggestions Inwill try adjusting the bump stops.

I am not discounting the hood struts but dont see how they can help when all they do is hold the hood up and when the hood is closed they are not really doing anything. But maybe there is more too them.

You ought to see it at 170
In Mexico I am sure. :)
I do have the Redline hood struts but never went to Mexico prior to install so I cannot say if they made a difference.
I did adjust the hood bump stops. One was not touching at all prior to adjustment.

adjust the hood bumpers such that they put upward pressure on the hood but don't raise it above fenders, adjust the latch so it takes some pressure to latch. now I have not been above 135 mph.

Thanks for the info. I will adjust them this werkend and servif it helps. If not I may givevthe redlines a try. Of course I could go full rice and remove the hood completely.
