does anyone seem to think our hoods tend to flex a tiny bit up and down while driving at higher speeds? Maybe the contours and reflections of the hood are giving me a false perception of this but ive never noticed it on any previous cars and it definitely seems to to happen on the stang. it literally seems like the negative/positive air pressures that happen over the hood make it work slightly. I am just curious if anyone else notices this?

Ya I've noticed it but not concerned. You either get light parts that flex, or heavy parts that don't. I've only noticed a little area on the cowl near the center of the windshield.

ok yep same area I was seeing. I'm more curious on how well the paint/clearcoat and such would hold over over time with all the flexing. Thanks for confirming I'm not crazy though lol!

Definitely. I've only had the car for a week and driven it a handful of times but did notice it. Coming from a smaller, flat4, I just assume it was the characteristics of a big V8 hood that extracts heat and air out.

Several posts on this. It's not flexing the whole hood is moving you just only see it in the middle towards the windshield.

Adjust the front rubber bumpers up half a turn at a time until it goes away/reduces enough to be happy.

On the right and left front sides are two bump stops. They thread in and out. Adjust them so they contact the hood. They're there to stop this flex you have. Simple fix.

Or, I could tell you what Ford would tell you: It's normal behavior and don't drive 60+ MPH.

Raise the rubber bumpers under the hood a bit.

I've had my GT well over 100 mph multiple times and have never noticed any hood movements. I know the rubber bumpers at the front are definitely touching the underside of the hood because I can see marks where they contact the hood. No hood struts either.
