Any of you lucky enough not to have holes in your front bumper for the license plate holder have dimples where the holes were to be drilled?

I recently had my front bumper replaced and I told the body shop NOT to drill holes for the LP. They also redid my front stripes but low and behold, you can see dimples where the LP holder bolts would go. I was just wondering if any of you that did have yours drilled, have these "dimples" or is yours just flat and smooth? I was going to go back to the body shop to bring up the issue but if there are dimples and not actual holes, then I guess i'll not make it an issue.

My Base GT has the two dimples. I have seen quite a few all had them. I will say some do not show as bad.

Dimples here as well. I purposely had my dealer not drill the holes for the front plate. I went with a STO N SHO plate holder. The dimples are still better than the holes though.

Dimples here too, since no front license plate in Quebec, threatened my Ontario dealer not to take the car if the holes were drilled at delivery ;)

Dimples on mine. I also told the dealer I'd walk if they installed the front bracket LOL.

These are an option for those of you who have holes drilled but want them plugged nicely. Honestly, I'd almost prefer these bumper plugs rather than the dimples in the bumper but that's just me. The dimples don't really look like they should be there whereas these plugs look like they're there for a reason other than plugging the holes.

Maybe the dimples are guides for the dealers to drill, trusting them to center a LP...fat chance haha.

I've used these on a few cars, always happy with the result.

They are. All Mustangs for the past few years have had them. My 13 had them and my 15.

I like my dimples much better than these, since they're barely noticeable (except by us detailing freaks) while these really show IMO

Awesome to hear! I just ordered a set because my dealer drilled the holes without asking. -_- I had one of the first new Mustangs in the area and didn't even think about the front license plate because it's never been an issue on my previous cars. I just assumed they wouldn't drill into the bumper of a $45K car. I was wrong.

I don't know why I didn't order these earlier. I've been driving around with a front license plate for almost a year now. Although I am in CA and I believe we're supposed to have a front license plate. Oh well. We're not supposed to have 5% either but that didn't stop me.

And of course, they dont have any in competition orange......

I told the dealer to not, under any circumstance, Drill the holes in the front bumper. I told them maybe 10 times during the process. When I went to pick it up, and since my dealer SUCKS... the bracket was on there. Since they had to dealer trade for mine, they said that the original dealer installed the bracket.....

But why would a dealer put the front license plate bracket on so that they can display the car on their showroom? And yes, the car was on the showroom floor at the dealer that mine got it from... I drove over there to see if they had it. I think I would remember if they had the bracket on there.

But really, install the bracket and then put the car on the showroom floor? Yeah, right....

I got excited and almost peed myself when I saw those plugs. But alas, no Competition Orange

Shoot them an email with your paint code and they'll get some made up for you. At least that's what it says on their site...
