There is a high pitched tone when braking. It is especially noticeable at lower speeds. The car only has 4300 miles on it and has not been raced or driven very aggressively. Can the pads be already worn to the wear indicator? I took a look at the pads and they seem plenty thick. Although I never really paid attention to this when it was new so I'm not sure what is normal for these big brakes.

It is fairly normal for pads that have any valid claim to fitness for road course track time to make noise. Especially during slow speed, low-energy braking.

My car has 250 miles and the front left brake is squealing under light, low-speed braking. I think this is just the pad compound on these cars, not a wear sound. Common in more aggressive pad compounds.

I tried to bed the pads into the rotors but they are so powerful that it's difficult to do this effectively on any public road. I expect it will actually improve after some track days and getting the brakes really bedded in and through a proper heat cycle.

Mine does it as well, when light braking at low speed. I never noticed it until after my first track day. It's annoying, but worth it to have brakes that perform like these. I remember reading something from Ford saying some brake noise is normal, either in the owners supplement or a TSB.

Yes, normal but we do offer a less agressive pad if you do not intend to track the car. Our GS-1 compounds from G-LOC are low dust and quiet.

Something to try:
Find a quiet back road (industrial park at night) and just do a half dozen stops (moderately hard) from 40 to 10 without stopping. Then drive for about 10-15 minutes, and repeat. After the cooldown you may have rid yourself of the noise. Performance pads(and the GT350 has very good ones) make noise.

I hadn't considered a less aggressive pad. Great idea! I could have a daily setup and a track setup and swap back and forth. It might be worth it just to reduce brake dust.

One thing that I found that seems to help is when I occasionally pull the wheels off to clean them I blow out the vents in the rotors with compressed air. The rotors load up with dust and I find that helps reduce the squealing for at least a few weels.

I get it too sometimes but it can almost always be tracked back to screaming passengers. ;-)

Yeah I've been noticing that since 600 miles and I'm at 1.8k now. Actually scheduled a visit to Ford but might just cancel it after finding this thread.
