Also if you think your Mustang makes a lot of weird noises.. go drive a high end Lambroghini / McLaren / Ferrari you'll have a double heart attack for the money you paid lol.
This doesn't even make sense.

Apples to Fish comparison.

^^ I think the logic is sound. He appears to be saying that even said high end, very expensive cars make odd / concerning rattle and other sounds, despite the price point where you might expect all smalls nits to have been ironed out and nonexistent. So, therefore, the argument goes don't get so worked up over a few nits on a $40K car. Those nits if they should surface should be more tolerable in the context of a cash outlay of $40K vs $300K.

I guess I look at it like you should KNOW if you're buying an expensive supercar that it is going to be finicky. Corvettes are some of the most finicky cars out there, but people accept the faults because "it's a Corvette" and so you don't hear much about it.

If I bought a Ferrari, I would expect there to be issues as it's Italian-made (they make BEAUTIFUL designs...but they aren't the best mechanical engineers if we're being honest) and it's a supercar that will probably see just a few thousand miles per year.

But I digress as everyone will have their own opinion on the matter. Good post though. Thanks for explaining it in a non-douche way.

Ah, well that makes sense too. I can see that.

LOL, you mean this one where you told @Brian V to STFU? And "money talks and BS walks" sure sounded like a challenge. And no, I don't consider going to a dealer to get a canned tune installed as getting your hands dirty. No need to stalk when there's a nifty search feature and the forum saves a list of all watched threads. At least you're consistent on withdrawing from threads while calling names when you run out of things to present.

My new twist is with the GT 350 deplorable mechanics and the brembo brakes . Niz had trouble with the e brake dismantle on the calipers .

Oh well, not surprised since he thinks that asking another forum member for stats on GT reliability is bulling while himself being a resident troll of the EB section. And he actually thinks highly of himself for writing a guide that basically says "My car feels faster with a dealer installed canned tune". He somehow managed to stretch it out to several pages, yet not a single before and after dyno pull graphs, datalogs, and/or track times to objectively assess the tune.

I've owned dozens of cars and the Toyota/Lexus is #1, end of story.

Honda #2.

Nissan #3 (for Jap cars) but bad electrical, tranny, etc... my son owned a 350Z and tons of issues.

German cars suck money out of your wallet.

Jaguar/Range rover suck balls.

A few of my friends own Ferrari/Lambo etc... and they are nothing but problems. Daily driving is a joke, you are lucky if they work on the weekend.

I currently drive a Lexus (DD) and a C7 Z06 as my weekend warrior. Adding a New 2019 Shelby GT350 when it comes out.

I drove my Chevy Tahoe 125,000 miles and during those years only needed a starter at the very end, that's it. Never used the warranty.

My Dodge 4x4 (similar to Nissan) was a POS. 4 A/C units, 2 trans, rust bucket, radio issues, etc... thank god all were covered under warranty but I didn't like being a regular at the Service Dept.

I'm buying the Shelby 350 knowing full well not to expect the quality of my Lexus. Panel gaps, rough shifting, rattles, etc... but I'm not buying it as my Daily driver, strictly as a Toy.

You going to track it ?
