Not saying there's not an issue with some of these cars but there is with every line of cars and would be surprised if someone could provide a real-world, large sample size,non-speculative, non-biased, fact based statistically significant analysis showing otherwise - especially not including cars with modifications directly tied to the system that failed. I've seen all the Youtube videos, engines/transmissions being replaced if not entire cars, shift forks, ticking noises, etc. Totally acknowledge it would suck to be one of those guys with these issues but for every one of those poor souls how many of us do you think there are out here driving the hell out of them and loving every minute of it? I'm not losing any sleep and have put 6300 miles on this sled in three months.
EB went through similar arguments in the past. I asked for exactly what you mentioned above and yet to find a single person that can provide data. It doesn't help that you have guys like @Fatguy that chimes in all the time to tell how unreliable EBs and new GTs are solely based on what he hears on the forums. I wonder how many V6s that are out there making 400 WHP or 650+ WHP as DDs.

Fatguy isn’t anti GT or Ecoboost or even pro V6. I am anti poor quality control. The auto industry as a whole is switching to electric and the present IC cars get neglected. There is only so much cash. They should have just kept the 2017 engine for example but they had to meet particulate emissions so that was that and DI was tacked on.

This is Mustang number 3. Been driving them now coming up on 20 years. I don’t dislike anyone on these forums. Just disappointed in Ford but there are obvious reasons why some decisions were made and why current owners are now the R&D of their powertrains in the making. The Japanese and Koreans would laugh if they read many of the threads here.

Are you going to say with a straight face that you haven't been bashing the new GT every chance you got? You pulled the same crap with EBs, even as far going into the EB forums to say how unreliable EBs are and how glad you got a V6. You stated in one of your comments that your neighbors probably got rid of their GT and EBs because of reliability problems. Seriously, have you ever owned any Coyote or EB based Mustangs to tell us about your own experiences with their reliability? If not, do you have an actual number of Coyotes, Cyclones, or EBs that blew up compare to the number sold? Yeah, yeah, I get that you're happy with your bone stock V6 but low volume of V6 specific postings on the forum doesn't automatically make V6 more reliable. Have you ever thought that since there are more GTs and EBs running around (including heavy modded ones) compared to V6s, just maybe it's normal to hear more about them, good or bad?

For what it’s worth guys there are 4 S550s and one original Boss 351 (with hood tach and adjustable rear wing) in my neighbourhood. Or were - as now there is just my V6 and the Boss 351. The vert GT was traded in for a turbo 4 Camaro (probably a straight trade). One of the turbos was traded in for a Corolla (this isn’t pretty). The other turbo just disappeared. I would guess they were traded in because of reliability problems. The Corolla says it all - and this guy drove a black Stang with stripes.

That is reality. I won’t upgrade to a GT because of reliability engine issues. I am happy with my V6 because it is totally reliable - so far - and the same goes for a few other Herts owners. Reliability matters and listening for potential engine noises and associated problems on a new car still in the break in period is totally insane!.
The 2018s should have had this bullet proof over engineered under stressed engine that would last forever. Like my former 5.0s, the rest of the car disintegrated around the engine over 18 years and 375,000kms. But the engine kept going and performing until I gave it up! Sadly I don't think the same about the new engines or I would be driving one right now.
It’s one thing going in for the first time but if you already have a functioning GT why take the chance on an 18 or 19 that may (and I said “may”) have some widely discussed engine issues.

Plus I hate to say it but after all this time I still prefer the original front end. Going in for the first time, the front end doesn’t matter. But you have a choice, I’d stick with your current car.
Yes I have seen two in a row but three would be a first. Frankly I’m staying away from this engine (and staying with my V6 because all the new 17s sold out fast) because I just don’t trust that spray on liner process in truly mass produced engines (though there are other problems with the engine). I’m a Mustang guy but even I will send guys to the Camaro SS until Ford sorts this out.
Guys are now saying Ford made a batch of bad engines but Ford are saying nothing about it. You probably got one. No way a new car drops that much oil in 4,000 miles. Even if you dutifully checked the oil level at regular intervals that engine was buggered. It’s not your fault. Have Ford build you a new motor and read the threads here and videos on YouTube (many of those guys post here). Time to go to war with Ford.

And thanks to the forum members here who talked me out of buying a new GT. Anything is better than this bullshit.

Ok fair enough.

I apologize to all Mustang faithful to any comments that they took offence to. I was the biggest jerk back in my 5.0 days So I guess you can take the jerk out of his 5.0 but but he’s still a jerk...

And there you go...

I never found your posts over the top... about the same as other "opinions" on this forum...

I personally think you have a stalker.

Kind of hard to miss when he jumps in on every post regarding GT or EB reliability to bash them and talk about how great the V6 is.

He might be right... maybe I should have gotten a V6... then put a blower on it. I never took issue with his points... they always made sense in connection with the thread he posted. It is all about that... not a connection with other posts. Hell, if you did that with me, you might think I hate Ford... or if you connected some of my other posts, you might say I'm the most helpful person around.

I'd never buy another ecoboost... f that. And I had the same experience he had.... one other eco in the building and he sold it off and went one of those huge dodge cars.

But I see your point as well (think that was you, maybe someone else...)... when I put an unleashed tune on my car, is that what made the issues show? Could be...

You are still a stalker. LOL

Sad to see you go, I'd say folks at the EB forum will miss you... But not really since you don't really post anything useful there other than talking big and challenging others to race you at DC as if they'd waste their time traveling to DC to race a vert EB with issues. Who needs Camaro guys when we have you and fatguy?

You are still a troll. LOL

I've owned dozens of cars and the Toyota/Lexus is #1, end of story.

Honda #2.

Nissan #3 (for Jap cars) but bad electrical, tranny, etc... my son owned a 350Z and tons of issues.

German cars suck money out of your wallet.

Jaguar/Range rover suck balls.

A few of my friends own Ferrari/Lambo etc... and they are nothing but problems. Daily driving is a joke, you are lucky if they work on the weekend.

I currently drive a Lexus (DD) and a C7 Z06 as my weekend warrior. Adding a New 2019 Shelby GT350 when it comes out.

I drove my Chevy Tahoe 125,000 miles and during those years only needed a starter at the very end, that's it. Never used the warranty.

My Dodge 4x4 (similar to Nissan) was a POS. 4 A/C units, 2 trans, rust bucket, radio issues, etc... thank god all were covered under warranty but I didn't like being a regular at the Service Dept.

I'm buying the Shelby 350 knowing full well not to expect the quality of my Lexus. Panel gaps, rough shifting, rattles, etc... but I'm not buying it as my Daily driver, strictly as a Toy.

Ha ha... that is the best you have? Troll? I think after my Ford Performance post, you will have to rethink that.. my small contribution to the forum. There you go.... kinda killed that for you. What did you contribute? Outside of harassing and bulling people on the forum?

But nice to see the stalker was able to pull some posts down that I wrote... why did you not quote them? Ha ha...

No one ever did take me up on that challenge -- and it was not a race -- it was to show how ridiculous those people where about intercoolers... so at least get it right!

Stalking? You know I do own an EB and am active on the EB section, right? It's kind of hard to miss your troll posts, like how you made fun of a guy for saying that his car felt better after the sensor replacement when people are trying to have a serious discussion on the LPFS. And are you talking about your Ford Performance post on your signature? Why because people need pages of info for what amounts to taking your car to a dealer to get canned tune installed? Heck, instructions I found on the forum for a turbo swap was a paragraph long.

As for my contribution, I kind of did most of power and suspension mods available and answered questions over the forum, PM, e-mail, phone, and in person, but probably nothing useful for someone like you who hates to get their hands dirty.

So yeah, you're still a troll who talks smack to everyone and doubt that there are many on the EB board other than fellow ProCal tuned folks who'll miss you.

Ha ha... yea, stalker!

You are now attempting to discount a contribution that helps people? Wow... just because you never contributed sht of any substance, don't discount others...

Hands dirty? I just spent all weekend on my car. You make silly comments. Nothing more than a harasser and bully... and stalker! Sorry you got called out and now mad about it.

In red to really trigger you! Ha ha..... Anyway, I'm done with you... you can put in the last plug. Had fun with you tonight... you are way too serious to be on a forum. Ha ha....

edit: no, you did not find that post I made! I sht... you have me rolling right now! You are too much... that is hilarious! You are too much... stalker of the year... love to see what your high school ladies thought of you... maybe most likely to be locked up for stalking? :handsinair::crackup:

LOL, you mean this one where you told @Brian V to STFU? And "money talks and BS walks" sure sounded like a challenge. And no, I don't consider going to a dealer to get a canned tune installed as getting your hands dirty. No need to stalk when there's a nifty search feature and the forum saves a list of all watched threads. At least you're consistent on withdrawing from threads while calling names when you run out of things to present.
