Well, the spoiler is a GT350/GT500 takeoff and plenty of companies make replicas. Front splitter and wheel replicas likely won’t be available until we’ll after launch though

Any other Aussies keen on a Mach1? Shame it will only be the base model?

I’ll be putting a deposit down tomorrow. Once details come out about the handling package or lack of, I’ll work out if it’s worth going ahead and modding to compensate or look at standard GT and upgrade.

Im the same as you Nomic , I have a deposit down and waiting for the Ford Australia to rip the guts out of the car and sell us a Bullitt with Mach1 badges for 90k. I hope we get the cooler and suspension packages and Tremec but unlikely. I was hoping I could just buy the GT500 rear spoiler, strut brace, wider wheels and I would be close to a US version.

Yeah mate, same thinking here. The manuals are tremec standard I thought?

can’t work out if the Aus spec comes with the 480bhp or the Eu spec, if it ends up just being a badged GT with watered down features then I’ll pass.

Hot off the press from Ford Australia.
Mach 1 brochure, interesting reading, I am happy we get to choose if we want Recaro seats or standard seats with heating and cooling.
No option for mag wheel 64S.
A couple of highlights:
1 Torsen diff
2 Diff ratio 3.55
Seems pretty loaded.
No pricing yet.
I want one!!!!

it's funny how they have photoshopped the dude to the right hand side and removed the splitter and changed the head lights :)

With that said that front splitter makes the front end look so much more aggressive and on top of that being functional.

hi guys. looks like a great new package. it appears we won't be offered the Handling Package which is a $3500 USD option in the states. This includes those cool wheels, MPS cup 2 rubber ( which are wider also 10.5" fr and 11" r ) , adjustable top strut mounts, a swing rear spoiler with Gurney flap ( GT500 ), special chassis tuning and a front splitter. You could all of that aftermarket but it would have been nice for Ford NZ and Australia to at least offer it factory installed. IMO those unique wheels and larger tires, spoiler and splitter really seal the deal for me, so I'll have to consider if 97K NZ is worth basically a Bullit with a Tremac transmission. Currently drive a 2016 GT modified with FR track pack suspension, tuned, CAI, land long tube headers /exhaust from street fighter . The Tremac will definitely be a welcome addition. cheers tom
