Help with tire size…

Alright so last night I picked up these bad boys, had been wanting a set of OEM wheels for a while, only thing I hate about them is the fact that they’re a 19x8.5 (255) all around…has anyone ever entertained the idea of or even done 265/275 all around safely?

On an 8.5 rim I wouldn't go past 255. In my recent tire searches I didn't see anything that was larger than a 255 that was recommended on an 8.5 rims.

My fronts are 255, on an 8.5 and I wouldn't go any bigger.

Pinching a tire onto a wheel that is not wide enough, will not help handling, and will in fact reduce grip. that 255 wide tire would be better on a 9" wide wheel.

I bought a set of those same wheels with Pirelli A/S tires (255/40). They look great on my orange car. I use them mainly if on a long vacay trip. Otherwise, it's summer or track tires. (I have 3 sets of wheels).

Anyway, what's wrong with what you have? I see no need to change anything. Don't worry, be happy.
