Agreed on all of the above.
Sync Navigation < Apple maps < Google Maps for travel directions and routing. SYNC traffic doesn't do very well with traffic, tollroads, etc.
However, Sync does just fine for daily stuff, its night color scheme is better than Apple Maps, and it integrates into the 'dashboard' screen nicely. When I need to use the navigation for route finding on longer trips instead of just as a map, Car Play may see more use.
