No windows were open
make sure your drains aren't plugged, there's one on the driver-side firewall and one under the battery tray, you may have to get a long, small diameter rod or coat hanger and check to be sure that rubber cup on the drivers side isn't plugged....pull your seats and dry your carpet!

i thought i had a picture but i don't...to access the drain on the passenger side, you'll have to remove the battery and you will see the drain with a flapper...make sure no trash or leaves are in it,on the drivers side..look at the hole near the wiper,in the engine compartment there's a rubber cup underneaththat hole, trash and debris can clog the cup up....if you put your hand under there where that drain hole is...you'll feel that cup...you may need to get under the car and guide a rod thru the bottom of the cup to clear it....mess with it too much and it will come off...then you'll need a friend with "baby hands" to get it back in

If your door drains are good, check your 3rd brake light. If your back seats or headliner is wet, that’s likely your culprit.

You know the windows drop down a little when you open your door? and then go back up when you close the door? Check that mechanism or see if it actually goes back up when you close the door. Im not sure exactly what controls that but id be willing to guess its a window motor that does.

My headliner is was not wet so it’s not that I’ll probably check the door drains

I had a similar issue with my white 17 gt. Water was getting in around the a pillar near the top of the windshield. I sold it not long after that so I didn’t figure out the issue but it’s one place to look. And check the windows for alignment. I had that car at a body shop once and they screwed with the window alignment.

I’m sorry, I’m not understanding why some less ridiculous form of protection from a leak at that location wasn’t used. :explode:
