Looking for my next exhaust setup. My first was MBRP street. Didn't like the sound and wasn't loud enough. Did like the size and look of the tips. Right now I have Borla S-type with H pipe. I don't like the rounded tips. The sound is real good. Which now I want it to be louder and have more crackle and pop.the better looking tips would be nice to. Thinking of Roush axle backs with my H pipe. Or solo street race, but think this will be to loud. This is my daily driver. I have a few questions.

Will the Roush axle back H pipe idle louder than my Borla setup?

Which setup will give the most crackle and pop?

Should I go to a X pipe?

Would it be a easy swap of axle backs or does the Roush or solo have a different cut point from my Borla axle backs?

Roush with H or X pipe is one of the loudest setups you can have. For what you're looking for, I would try the Ford Racing Sport or Corsa Touring Axlebacks with your setup.

Yes it's very loud at wot but I'm wondering at idle. Videos on you tube don't do shit. I'm looking for louder so ford sport and corsa touring are out. My setup now is louder than them 2.

Keep in mind that Corsa touring plus resonator delete is pretty much Corsa Sport. You could also do Corsa Sport axleback to have a system very similar to the Xtreme.

My Borla ATAK catback with X pipe is very loud ands has a lot of snap crackle and pop, LOL. But really, I had an exhaust dilemma too and the ATAK has solved it. Loud, aggressive, but quite when crushing, and no drone at all. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a loud exhaust.

Easy: Solo Performance Thunder. It's very loud, but not retarded straight pipe loud. Tips are beautiful if you don't like chrome. If you like chrome, you'll have to have them dipped. They're a polished stainless sort of thing.

Just wish Borla had better looking tips. I didn't care at first, but I miss the MBRP look from behind.

Was thinking maybe corsa sport axle back. It's just expensive but seems worth it. I only want to do this one more time.

I love the corsa sound. You could also grab the ATAK.

My Roush + X-pipe idles loud enough that other cars can hear it at a traffic light with the windows up. It has a much deeper and rumbly sound at idle than the high-pitched scream it has at WOT--sounds like two different systems. It's actually quite funny if you randomly decide to floor it from a red light, because the idle rumble is so subtle compared to what comes out at max throttle.

If you want different tips, just buy some and have them put on. Should be trivial for an exhaust shop.

nice that's how the MBRP sounded like. Different at idle and then at wot. A whole different story. Just didn't like there sound. On deceleration is there lots of crackle and pop?

In Sport mode the decel hum is constant anytime you let off the gas--if you floor it to 100 and then coast all the way to 0, it will decel grumble the entire way. Loooots of snap, crackle, and pop when shifting too. Sounds a lot like a gt350. Loud, angry, and raspy as ****.
