In Sport mode the decel hum is constant anytime you let off the gas--if you floor it to 100 and then coast all the way to 0, it will decel grumble the entire way. Loooots of snap, crackle, and pop when shifting too. Sounds a lot like a gt350. Loud, angry, and raspy as ****.
I think this will be the right setup. That's really what I'm looking for. Do you think the H pipe from your X pipe make a big difference? With making that snap and crackle sound.

You'll probably get more of that with an X-pipe.

Ok thanks. I'll run the H pipe and see how I like it. Then which to X pipe if I'm still not happy.

I get lots of pops and crackle whenever I let off the gas and definitely loud as hell. If you like pissing off your neighbors early in the morning or late at night this is the one for you.

Looking for my next exhaust setup. My first was MBRP street. Didn't like the sound and wasn't loud enough. Did like the size and look of the tips. Right now I have Borla S-type with H pipe. I don't like the rounded tips. The sound is real good. Which now I want it to be louder and have more crackle and pop.the better looking tips would be nice to. Thinking of Roush axle backs with my H pipe. Or solo street race, but think this will be to loud. This is my daily driver. I have a few questions.

Will the Roush axle back H pipe idle louder than my Borla setup?

Which setup will give the most crackle and pop?

Should I go to a X pipe?

Would it be a easy swap of axle backs or does the Roush or solo have a different cut point from my Borla axle backs?
If you want to wait a couple weeks I will be selling my Corsa sport catback and I am in Northwest indiana.

You could listen to it if your close before you decide as well.

If they were the extremes I would be in. I think the sport would be the about the same volume as my Borla S-type. Thanks for the heads up though

X pipe will give a slightly higher pitch to the exhaust tone. With the right mufflers it sounds exotic, but with the wrong mufflers it sounds a bit raspy.
For example my wife's 2016 GT with Flowmaster super 10s and X pipe with no resonator has some rasp to it especially around 3000 rpms under heavy throttle. My 2016 GT with 18" long dynomax race bullets and X pipe with no resonator has zero rasp and a slightly more exotic tone to it and it's a lot quieter than her car as well (until my LTs and catless mids go on this Friday :D)
My thoughts: Chambered mufflers sound best with H pipes because the h accentuates the deep tone of a chambered muffler without adding rasp.
Straight through mufflers sound best with X pipes because the X pipe accentuates the higher pitched tone of a typical straight through muffler.
As for decel snap crackle pop, much of that is due to dfco being turned off in people's tunes and also due to poor MAF tuning for various aftermarket intakes.

My car had the "decel snap crackle pop" when the only mods installed were a pair if Roush Axle-backs.
