Hope everyone is having a good weekend. So I have a 2017 CSGT mustang (automatic), I do all the work myself on the car. Mods- roush CAI, gt350 intake mani, blowfish gt350 throttle body adapter, roush axle backs, roush x-pipe, pedders extreme coils, eibach front and rear sway bars, currently have a bama tune but lund n-gauge and tune is coming monday! So obviously the next step is LH headers. Im looking at the BBK 1-3/4 chrome LH headers. First off are these headers any good for the price? Second, and more importantly, my car is already pretty loud (love the way it sounds), am I going to be way too loud with LH headers at idle and normal driving speeds? In other words is it going to be undrive-able without getting pulled over every other day? If so is there any way y'all know of quieting down a bit when the headers are installed? I appreciate any help! Thanks everyone.

From what i seen on a few buddies of mine that bought bbk headers the quality wasn’t that great. Welds didn’t look profesional. Which led me to get kooks off road long tube headers. As far as being too loud, you can never be too loud lol. Im running longtubes cat less and borla ataks. I’ve had them for 2 years at least now. Only been popped once for being too loud. That was only because a car was riding me and on impulse i punched it to leave car way behind and at WOT with that set up its insanely loud. Next thing you know a cop pulled me over. Cops are normally pulling everyone over around here. I might just be lucky but i daily my car and i been good so far. Knock on wood!

Yeah I agree with never being too loud hahahaha. I just have read that with all roush it can get really raspy. I personally like raspy but to a point lol

I really like the sound of roush but the drone is whats a deal breaker from me and with headers ive noticed a lot of drone on roush. I rrally like the tone on borla ataks with headers and the corsa extremes as well.

Huh tthats odd because i have like no drone on mine. I have ridden in buddies cars who have other exhaust set ups and the roush imo has been the best in concern to drone. Its just really raspy

Premium or nothing when it comes to headers. You've already spent some serious dollars on the car, why cheap out on such a sensitive component? Corsa, Kooks, ARH, Stainless Works.

I have BBK headers and am trying to figure out whether I'm hearing a small leak or the thin-tubed walls of the headers. BBK are of okay quality. For the love of your back, do yourself a favor and get stainless LTHs. Rust is an issue otherwise.

To go into more detail, my setup consists of BBK LTHs, high-flow cats, x-pipe, and Roush axle-backs. The cold start-up is REALLY obnoxious. I'm talking like a semi-truck trying to slow down by jake braking on a hill. After several seconds of the cold start, everything quiets down to a low rumble that can barely be heard with the windows up. Driving normally, it isn't too loud, but it gets raspy above 3500 rpm. If you hammer the throttle, you will be heard from anyone within a mile.

I have always used BBC long tubes never a issue with quality especially the welds. They may not be as pretty as kooks but work just as good.
