I'm looking for a picture or two of the inside roof lining of a convertible. I have a 2021 and got the top replaced under warranty as the rear defroster wasn't working (and was told the glass isn't replaceable/all one unit). Outside it looks good but the inside looks... Loose or something. It's 'flappy' for lack of a better term. Now I'm wondering if it's always been like that and I never noticed or they messed it up when they did the top. I thought it was supposed to be tucked in the molding (it looks clean) but I don't think it can be due to the folding of the top. I even went so far as to check dealer listing photos on comparable cars but that's one thing they don't really detail.

Post a couple of pictures of the areas you're interested in and I'll try to take some of mine in the same places.

Thank you. I am going to get pics for the other poster also but am working currently. But yes that's what I'm talking about. Mine is extremely loose and flappy. Like windows down this is flapping in the wind.

Here's s video that shows how it connected its stapled to the frome on front and back frsmes that how itstlretech.but isn't complete but it does shoe howvit's stretched out.my guess is they didn't staple it correctly and there was too much slack in the liner.id find a shop that does liners and have it done correctly. I'd guess he dealer did yours they probably never did a liner before

Just realized you're is 21 so maybe it's different. Maybe do a goggle search but don't know why they woukd change it

Here are some pictures. Most are from the drivers side but a couple are of the passenger side. Mine appear to be reasonably tight. Definitely not tucked into the trim except at the front. The sides have some, I guess, wiggle as I'd expect since they move/fold as the top goes up and down. I don't believe they "flap in the wind" but to be honest I don't think I've ever looked. If my windows are down, 98% of the time, so is the top.

Appreciate it. I guess I'm just being nit picky. I couldn't remember how it looked before but it seems reasonable similar to yours.

Funny because the dealer had to outsource to a professional top company as it was too advanced for them 🙄. I guess it could be worse. The outside looks alright
