HELP! EBM Procal tune installation

Yeah, this is going to be a learning experience for all involved; Ford, Ford Performance and us as customers.

When I talked to the guy at Ford Performance he didn't understand that we didn't have the instructions (pdf) and thought that we should just tell Ford we needed the file. I told him it doesn't say that anywhere on the information included in the box. He didn't know that the only way to get the manual was to load the software and click the (?) for help.

It's new for Ford because many of them are very used to loading FP tunes but it's always been from a handheld tuner and they just send the customer home with that handheld which contains everything.

And well if they haven't figured it all out, we certainly can't be expected to know.

For those that are unsure.
Just opened thumb drive the tech at the dealer gave me when he was done with my car.

The file was 7730 kb.

It won't overwrite the file because the file name is unique using your VIN as part of the file name.

Thanks for this info... sent the instructions to the dealer and when I got there he had them printed.... took my flash drive and in 5 minutes or so had the file on the flash drive.

Has vin in the name and is only 7,727 KB (very, very, very small).

Spoke to the service manager about the way he treated me at the dealership... A+ customer service.

Awesome! Glad to hear it worked out. I'm sure it will take some time for Ford to get used to this since it is a new procedure. Now I just need to not lose this flash drive. :headbonk:

I put a copy of the file with my computer documents backup too just in case.
