Powder Coater in DFW

Anyone know of a good powder coater in the DFW area. I'm going to have my PP Wheels stripped and powder coated. It's a beautiful wheel I just don't like the black. My car will be Magnetic. Any suggestions on colors. I'm thinking maybe a dark bronze.

Just an observation, not a complaint, but Sams Pack in Plano wasn't too friendly or seemed particularly interested in developing a relationship once I said I wasn't interested in the orange color, which is the only GT they have in stock now.

Curious to hear other opinions or recommendations on North Dallas dealerships.

I worked with Randy Grandgeorge at Auto Nation Ford in Frisco. Really nice guy. The have about 4 cars on the lot. Ordered by GT with X-Plan through them.

That's plan, just need to find the right person to do this. I also thought of striping the wheels and clear coating the raw aluminum. Not sure how that would look though. I just ordered by car 2 days ago, so it will be a while.

I say give Sam Pack Plano another crack. Corey White is their performance specialist, he is very much involved in the North Texas Mustang scene personally hosting track days ( he knows his craft very well). I told him I wasn't ready to source a car until January, it didn't bother him a bit. I have spent many hours with him and he is most gracious. Tell him J.B. Sent you.
I met a total dipshit when I first went there and then I said hand me over to your specialist. Great experience thus far!

Mac Haik in Desoto has a 300a GT PP with Recaros in Competition Orange, I worked with Victor and he was pretty good. They haven't drilled the front bumper for the plate on it either like they did mine :frusty:

I would jump on it if it was a Loaded model without recaros..

Ellis County Here!!! Found mine on a whim in Waxahachie! Was a dealer order from the dealership in Cleburne. Did a trade and had my car delivered. I told the guy at least 5 times; "dont drill the front for the license plate". I get there to pick the car up.....license plate...mounted! arrggggg

Car is great other than a few little things...hood WAY to hard to *slam shut lol
and found a couple of very small paint chips on the underside of the passenger door...not sure how that happend but going to have them fix it all and look into the "thud" when shifting into the gears. Anways...howdy to all the Texas Members!!!

haha i noticed the same thing about the hood. You gotta practically slam the hell out of it to get it to close

I would ask Kirian if they gave him any information about the powder coating on his wheels. He has a 50th AP and Autonation Frisco had them coated satin black on the floor room. Their price was 500 or 600 if I recall so it must be available cheaper. Granted, you have to deal with removal, the sensors and mounting again so that price doesn't seem unreasonable, especially since it came with the car and no waiting was required.

I had good luck with Autonation Ford in Frisco. I have bought two vehicles from them. I went to look at the Mustangs in stock and the DIB GT they had on the lot called me. I tried their OW demo and left because I didn't like that particular car and it was to be auctioned off that weekend anyhow.

Going back the next day led to my eventual purchase.

Carter was very helpful and I believe he may have sold Kirian his vehicle as well. I remember seeing that car in the staging area when I went to sign the paperwork for my car.

Their finance department gets my recommendation. I have USAA and they offer great rates. The finance department was able to find a better rate.

I'm in Little Elm. Just joined the Ford Family. Picked up mine at Sam Pack Ford in Lewisville. 2015 300a GT Race Red Manual with the Performance Pack. So far I am loving it. Just wish I had enough to get an exhaust and that's all I would want to put on it.
