I don't wish this on any vehicle, but when you have only owned the car for 1hr. one would think that you would drive the car carefully. The driver was charged with careless driving. :doh:

I grew up on Riverdale road! I can see why he crashed. that road is very twisty with a lot of blind turns. At night it's extremely dark as there are few spot lights. That road is also called Hells gate, and is a popular driving road for paranormal activity.

Figures hells gate, claimed the first hell kitten.

Why the F would you take a car like that and drive it like that on a road like that at night after you just bought it?

Look I'm getting a GT and I can tell you for a fact I will not be even thinking about doing anything with something considered over the speed limit speeds till I learn the car and how it feels.

Hell I might go to Ford and do that 1 day racing thing.

Just for fun, a quick google search found some of the folk lore on that road. As a teenager and learning to drive on that road, these stories garnished a lot of attention at High School.

It's certainly totaled, but It can take a good hit and protect the driver, the driver side looks to be in good condition.
Crash like that and the driver walks away is all that matters.

We had a driver's ed story about a kid driving with a bunch of friends in the back of his pickup and he lost control and hit a tree and the people in the back flew up and hit the tree and a few were impaled. No clue if that is true but it obviously left a lasting message.
