I had the chance to go to Helion last night and meet with Todd and the others involved, to discuss the current and future state of the project. The shop is full with alot if interesting stuff.

The GT350 stylized hood is flanged and tooling is underway.

The GT350 carbon hood prototype is being prepped, and communication with the GT350 community will start soon to get the hood on the car and tested with the focus on fit and finish, and core material optimization.

I will say this. The hood is light, almost to light for it's size. It is most certainly under 15 lbs.

Some weight will come back with the added core structure to prevent oil canning. However I think it may stay under the 15lbs mark which is within the range of 50% weight savings. The resin flow optimization core optimization of the GT350 hood will be carried over to the GT350 stylized hood reducing it's time to market.

Correct. The hood being a composite perimeter style in structure is actually lower since that surface was built from the engine bay up. The hood outer skin is a 1/4" off the two highest points within the engine bay in relation to the hood lines. The distribution box and the hood release cable.

The Fascia through to the fender hood/body line is a little more pronounced.

The hood to fender flare is a little more defined to help with a little width lost, as the GT350 hood is slightly wider.

The cowl bulge is more pronounced due to the straight profile of the fender on the Mustang.

The Heat extractor is nearly identical in placement. We are excited to see how the may up the forced induced crowd with PD blowers.

Todd and Co. just got back from Georgia last week supporting a remote job.

The GT350 stylized hood outer tool is done, the inner is being wrapped up, and additional core support material is being ordered in support of both the Carbon GT350 hood and the GT350 Stylized hood.
