Saw a some glimpses of the actual GT350 Carbon hood, and the basis for the 25mm GT350 stylized fenders. The hood looks good in Carbon.

Still haven't really been able to stop by due to the NDA's on a current project.

Are you able to specify what the 25mm refers to? Total width added?

The GT350 has 25mm wider aluminum knuckles, and thus wider fenders. Much like the hood the intent was to deliver the performance advantageso of the GT350 panels to mustang owners.

Heat extractor, improved aero, increased view of the road are empirical improvements of the hood.

The fenders offer increased wheel and tire clearance, (approximately 25mm or an inch) and aero improvements. The intent is to offer as much of that as possiblearly while allow for a smooth transition to the front fascia.

Here is a quick pic of the fender skins that were referenced

Your hood, GT350 style wide fenders, and a Steeda type front fascia would be an amazing combination. I don't care to imitate the pure aesthetics of a GT350. I would much rather have a modified and utilitarian version of the 350's aesthetics to help my cars performance and wheel fitment more than anything.

This is the endstate I initially sought in early conversations. I am actually a big fan of the Mustang front fascia. This mule outlined what I wanted to pursue. The hood is a bonus. It really shows the difference in the wheel liner, and the massaged fender to fascia interface.

I missed where the gt350 fenders are also being made. No complaints from me, i'd love the hood and fenders for my gt. The stock bumper looks good as is.

The fenders we're actually announced in a thread however they were mentioned in this one so I decided to throw out a pic...

Quick update

No, this is not the Helion Shelby Styled version for the stock body mustang... It is our first shot of our version of the GT350 hood. We infused both the inner and outer to assess mold flow for our stylized part and we learned a lot which was the objective.
Yes, there are blemishes in the surface coat which for this particular hood will be addressed in the clear/paint process. there are also some distortions in the weave. After lessons learned we have a better approach to both the layup process and the infusion itself. This proto was built to not only to get the GT350 hood to market but to also refine the process for the Helion Shelby styled hood for the stock body cars. We are still a little ways off from the stock body hood and are making progress every day. It is a long process with many steps and we refine each one on a daily basis.

Again, first shot on the GT350 hood in a rough trimmed state ready for bonding.

On another note I should share some weight info.... Keep in mind, these are rough trimmed parts, not final production.
The outer skin as shown weighs 12.25lbs, the inner frame weighs 3.25lbs.
This is a total of 15.5lbs exclusive of mounting studs and adhesive and exclusive of final trimming. When its all said and done I expect we will come in around 15 lbs on a finished part.
Again, this is GT350, not our stylized version for the stock Mustang but it should give you food for thought and confirmation that progress is being made.... Hence, Not vaporware....

Todd,

Great work, nice styling. Keep us posted on the GT350-stylized hood for our stock Mustangs (and like wise the fenders and/or front fascia).

BTW, as the GT350 hood nears completion, we will be looking for a local test vehicle to verify fitment.....
