Headlights flicker when charging battery

Hello, I'm trying to use a noco genius 2 charger to charge my completely dead battery on my 2020 gt. It is set to regular 12V battery setting an the noco device and I get flickering from the headlights. Headlighrs are in off setting and with battery completely dead it obviously has no power and not in ignition mode or anything. I have a schumacher 15A rapid charger that was given to me but I'm reluctant to try it. Any ideas?

Charge the battery outside of the car.......Disconnect it from the cables.
