Headlight seperation

Sooo anyone actually cut the plastic? I've seen yt videos on using the oven or heat gun, but nothing about the plastic cutting.

I just heated mine in the oven and peeled them open. Then removed the permaseal and resealed with 3m black silicone. I haven't had any issues. And it's VERY hot and humid here right now. Constant storms and 90+% humidity.
