Is there a way to upgrade the headlamp housing tri-bar lighting? While I'm at it, can I upgrade the headlamp LED?

It makes more sense to swap to aftermarket lights and put the OEM lights in a box for when you trade or sell the car.

Ruining the OEM lights is not a great idea with how expensive they are to replace.

So...these led s never need to be replaced?
LED's generally are known for longevity over other bulbs. But that said, LED's though statistically last a long, long time are not without failure rates. That said, if a headlamp assembly has the LED features I wanted and the cost is reasonable, I'd go with it. There are other things to consider...how good does the clear plastic lens hold up over years of sunlight? That's probably more of an unknown, so I would agree with MrMike's posting....keep your originals in case you need them later.
