......taking the new Mustang.

Don't want it in the salt atmosphere. ie ocean bird poop, water with
salt spraying up off the road or rain.
We go there several times a year, been holding up this year
because of Covid and trying to visit w/the Grandson.

Anyhoooo, this is the reason I bought the Sky, to drive there
when we can't or I won't drive the Mustang..........

So birds in western North Carolina do not poop?
Read his post carefully. I've highlighted a section for you:
......taking the new Mustang.

I think he's referring to the viscous and vicious "ocean bird" poop, which is far worse than the mild and mellow mountain bird poop that one finds in the western part of our state.

So birds in western North Carolina do not poop? Or do they just know to stay away from your car?

You certainly have a special brand of crazy. :giggle: But the Sky is a really cool car.
^^^^
...what makes you say that??
Because I don't want bird shit on my car??

OK, I'll admit it. I was being just a little bit of an ass when I wrote that. But honestly many of us live to just get out and drive our cars. You have an incredible chance to do it and you're passing it up because of a little salt, rain, and bird poop. Salt can be washed off, rain can be dried and bird poop, well we get that here in Myrtle Beach too. That's what detailer and a MF towel are for.

Since I'm retired my 19' GT/CS has turned into somewhat of a garage queen. But when I have the chance I take it everywhere. It's my baby but it doesn't get coddled. It's a car. Not my 1st, likely not my last. Just go out and enjoy it. Be honest, don't you really want to hear and feel that Coyote under your left foot. :like:

...fair enough.
However, I've always been a 'crazie' for taking care of my vehicles.
I used to go so far as to carry a bottle of window cleaner to clean off
water so the water wouldn't dry and leave spots on windows where
the wipers didn't wipe.
My Black vehicles were washed to within an inch of their lives 'cause
I couldn't stand a dirty car, truck or CJ-5 Jeep that was Black.....................

I know your concern.
During a stay at a fancy condo in Ocean City, Maryland, someone had driven their very nice, new Corvette and parked it in the lower level, covered parking spot. Only to have it keyed. That hurt to see that happen.

I know. I feel the same way. But, ask your car what it want's. Take into account its feelings. You're leaving your baby behind for a Saturn? Come on, you can do it. For your Mustang! :like: :giggle:

That truly sucks and it can happen anywhere. But it's really the bird poop.

Drive the Mustang. You’ll really enjoy it if you haven’t taken it on a long trip before. I just did the same thing with my 2019 Bullitt. Drove it down to Sarasota, FL from Kansas City. Yes, I got rained on several times, but it was worth every bit of the fun that I had during the drive.
