I am taking the passenger header off my 15 and am down to the top front bolt. The AC line is in my way and I cant seem to see a way to get it off.

Can anyone tell me how to get the front top bolt off the passenger header?

Leave it in and re-use it.

ETA: Oops thought you mean the stud. Yep get it from the top with a flex-head ratcheting wrench.

I played around with the engine height and got it from the top.

i used a stubby wrench, a ratcheting wrench with a swivel head, pretty much a combination of every wrench I had. I was able to wiggle my hand into a position from the bottom. But the top would've probably been a little easier. it takes a pretty good amount of time to get that one out compared to the rest. just need be patient man, you'll get it.

From the top of the motor, you need to snake your hand down approx. where the upper radiator hose is at. Use your ratchet wrench. The factory stud is staying here. You will laugh a little when you figure out how easy it is compared to the others.

Thanks so much all! I got it from the top; didn't think it was possible but it was!!! :)

Now I'm about to put the Pypes one on; I'm thinking of using all the pypes supplied bolts; looks easier to put on. Any issues with that?

Also I think I read somewhere I *can* put some form of silicone sealant on the gasket? is that necessary?

Lastly, do I need to use anti sieze on the bolts?

Thank you

Just reuse the stock manifold gasket as is. No need for additional sealant.

After chasing each hole out with a factory manifold stud, I did use a dab of anti-seize on all the bolts that I used from my kit.

I used hi-temp silicone between the header and gasket moreso to hold the gasket in place while I hung the header on the stud and then buttoned it up from there.
