Have you had your short block replaced

Ford Tech hot line will only authorize a short block to repair engine knock. I'd like to hear from members whom have had their short blocks replaced. Why and was it successful.

lol it was pretty bad. from taking 4 months to dealership being sold to finding out my car was modded and cats were gutted... but now.. knock on wood the car is great.

4 times. This time I got the Gen3 Alligator SC short block 9.5 compression.

Had mine replaced around 14k miles after I pointed out excessive oil consumption which was enough reason for Ford to approve inspection of the cylinders. Lots of scoring and burned oil residue which explained the constant topping off I had to do every 1k miles. Ever since the new short block the engine feels stronger and more responsive, better mpg, and normal oil consumption. I broke the new engine in with Full Synthetic 5w30 straight from the dealership on pick up.
