I have a faint harmonic type buzz that sounds like it coming from somewhere on the left interior side of the car. Cuts in and out with engine speed and bumps.
Any ideas?

You could try removing the dashboard and taking out the sound insulation and just leaving the bare firewall.

This is just my experience, so take it for what it is... I've found with most newer cars that many of the noises we hear are happening because we the owner or one of our passengers ahs introduced something to the vehicle environment, so I'd start there, and then blame Ford.

Does it do it when the car is idling? Try revving the engine to a steady 3000 rpm or so and see if you can induce it while not driving. If that doesn't produce the noise, then it could be a vibration happening from tire or suspension.

If that doesn't work, Id recommend installing an aftermarket exhaust, preferably something loud, that should drown out the noise. :p

I know on my car, the aluminum dash pieces on the left of the driver buzz quite frequently. I push just below the light controls on the aluminum piece and it stops and also creaks a little. Unfortunately, it comes back pretty quickly after I let go.

I think it's rubbing between the upper and lower piece. I'll likely take it in soon to have them futz with it.

If your sound is something internal, you just have to take it to them and drive the technician around and point it out so they can dig in and find it.

I've got a similar buzzing sound in the aluminum trim surrounding the glove box. If I press the glove box door or the aluminum trim, the buzzing will stop and come back in a minute or so. Seems to be caused by friction of the glove box door and something. I'm going to wiping with WD40 as a lubricant to see if that helps.

I have this same exact problem - happens when I go over uneven surfaces or bumps in the road, it's been driving me crazy.

I initially thought it was static from the pillar speakers, however the faint buzz seems to go away whenever I press the leather brow on the driver's dashboard (near the left air vent). I've got to take my car in to service for a separate issue, but I'll ask my dealer to see if there's anything they can do.

So, I've isolated mine to the circled spot. If you press, it has movement back to the plastic behind it. Not much, but enough so that at speed it vibrates. It's bothersome.

Lol, as I was looking at this picture just now, I realized there's a trunk release button inside the car. Doh!
