Where was the local show? I used to live in Middletown in the early 70's. Avon's parking lot
after hours was a local hang out. I had a 70 Dart "Swinger" 340, 4 speed at that time.

The car show was at Healey Brother's dealership in Goshen NY. Their 16th annual father's day car show which was co sponsored by the Mustang Club of Orange County.

I was planning on stopping by to spectate but I entered through the wrong side so I ended up as part of the show lol

There was one other Mach 1, it was a jet fighter gray.

Overall a great time.

Twister orange is my favorite color for these cars, if it was offered in 2022 my car would be twister orange.

what exactly is “hard parking”?

Your car is spec-ed for or its appearance feels like it’s ready for the track but you never take it there. You are just happy with the flamboyant and ‘hard’ look of the car when it is parked, to talk about it and/or share pictures of it.
The term is normally used in an derogative way against loud boasters who never track their car. But this thread is more tongue-in-cheek.
