I have recently been experiencing a a hard braking feeling when shifting from 3-4 and 4-5. I have tried various methods of shifting, waiting between gears, shifting faster, double clutching and also just going straight from gear to gear.
It only occurs when double clutching and in the upper gears and occurs more often when I take my time shifting. All the other gears are smooth as can be on the shift. This has been occuring for about a week now and it's very abrupt. The RPMS don't get affected but there is a thud when it happens which leads me to think it's an issue with the rear?

I have even tried shifting with the clutch to the floor and also almost completely engaged and it happens regardless of how far the clutch is pressed. I am new to a manual transmission but I wouldn't think that poor driving habits (I don't flog the car by any means) would kill a transmission/drivetrain after 20,000 miles would it?..

What do you all think is the issue or how do you think I can solve it? Is it driver error?

The issue was engaging the clutch too far due to my recently changed seating position..
