Late August, after driving rental around, I drove 900 miles south to Southern California to pick up a GT.

2016 Premium GT, 22,092 miles, list price for $28,800, purchased at $26,200. Every extra option. It was the perfect find. I'd given up on a black one, most were overpriced and lacked options. I went back to looking at Ecos and even those in black were hard to find loaded.
The whole trip was nuts. My only day off during the week is Sundays, so I had to make it work on a Sunday. Found the car Tuesday, spent Wednesday back and forth with the sale guys, getting pictures of everything, the carfax, what he knew about the previous owner, getting videos of it being driven. By Thursday evening my credit union had sent over the check and the paper work was finalized. My brother and I flew out of San Fransisco at 6am, arrived in San Diego and at the dealer around 8:30am. The sales guy met me there, my brother and I did one last inspection and mini test drive. Signed one last piece of paperwork and we were off.
An accident in between San Diego and LA slowed us down, we drove around LA and it was still a nightmare. It took us 4 hours to get out of Southern California! A forest fire in the Grape Vine shut down all but one lane, more slow down. Heres the trip: on Highway 5, a silver Prius was tailgating us for about 10 minutes. Mind you, I'm in my new GT, if I could be going any faster I would be! He finally got an opening and went around us. About an hour later the Maps says there a slow down due to an accident *great another one* we get near the accident, and three cars, all mini vans and SUVs all filled with families are trashed on the road. Guess who was also there? A silver Prius, by the looks of it he was at fault, wasn't able to get a great look but man that irked me.
Made it home around 11:30pm exhausted, and off to work the next day!
Only about 5,000 miles in, so far it's been a dream. Did I mention the previous owner did and X-Pipe and Muffler delete? Oh man the look on my face when I started it must've said it all
(the drone was horrible the whole trip, I don't do a lot of highway driving at the moment and it's very tolerable below 60mph or 1750rpm, but it still needs to be changed
)
I'm here to answer questions about the process or if anyone want to know more about the trip.
