Handling Package added correctly to order ?

I wonder why some people have gas guzzler tax listed and some don't.

As not to scare you too much (LOL). My first form it is not listed, but on my final that was used to order it is listed. The 2020 GT500 was $ 2500.00, that fricken hurt, but then again the Shelby gets LOUSY gas mileage.

It's not listed on any of my forms. But when I did a preliminary build sheet with a dealer in NC it was listed.

Gas guzzler tax is not regional. It will be on all Mach 1’s

Well, we finally heard back from Ford Canada and lo and behold my original order did not, in fact, include the handling package because it was ordered on DECEMBER 10, 2019 under Job 1 which did not offer the code. Thankfully Ford Canada has revised my order under the original, and only, allocation for my dealer to include the handling package. If you are not sure about your orders I would put the squeeze on your dealer to ensure that your order is inclusive of the handling package...

Gas guzzler is a Federal tax. I would ask about it.

The Gas Guzzler Tax is a federal tax on certain vehicles with especially low Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimated fuel-economy ratings. The tax was enacted in 1978 as part of the Energy Tax Act. The amount of the taxvaries based on a vehicle's combined fuel-economy average and ranges from $1000 to $7700.

Charged to the original owner only. Personally, it should be charged to the second owner.

You are damn lucky that you decided to follow up with your dealer, once it is on the plant clipboard with a blend date it is usually set in stone.

That's what we were initially told, too late, too bad... luckily, the salesman at the dealership took some ownership of the screw up and went to the dealership management. After that I don't know the course of events and how they unfolded but yesterday I got the call and a text of the image of my new build sheet and order. They only change was that now the car would show up closer to the end of April/beginning of May (which is okay given I live in the Great White North!)...
