FYI,
Yesterday I was informed by Hagerty who tracks the value of collector vehicles for insurance purposes, that the 2021 release year Mach 1 has risen to over $70K and climbing. Some may wish to alter coverage accordingly.

So what you're saying is I should sell my 2021 and keep my 2022 ordered one? Lol.

If you can get it under invoice and are willing to go through the hassle of buying and registering it, then I don't see a reason not to buy it and flip it considering that'd be an easy $10-15k profit with the prices people are paying right now.

Can't say I haven't considered it. I've already done PPF and ceramic so I'd likely include that into the price as well. I'll be putting on headers and a tune so whatever horsepower loss the 22's have won't affect me.

If you can buy a Mach under invoice, then why would anyone be paying $15k over?

And if $15k over is the "prices people are paying now" who's getting one under invoice?

Do you know how HARD it is to get your hands on a Mach 1 without getting taken to the cleaners by the dealerships?

There's a few dealerships running deals at 2-3% under invoice on these forums — I ordered from one. You just have to be willing to wait. I've waited over 6 months for mine and it's only just now entering production in a few more days.

I didn't buy mine as an investment: I bought it to enjoy driving. And I'm doing exactly that with 16K miles on it in 14 months. Smiles per mile rating remains off the charts! Of course, YMMV.

People who ordered a year ago from a non shit dealer are getting them under invoice.

I did not say that. Enjoy whatever decision you make.

Yeah, it's risky. I have no idea what kind of price my current one with 1900 miles would fetch. Full PPF and Ceramic was $5940 and top of the line ceramic window tint was $616.

For those old enough to remember, this is looking like this is going to be a replay of the 1970 vs. 1971 Olds 442 values. both great, mostly the same car with minor emissions/horsepower differences. But yeah, it seems feasible one could sell a 2021, buy a 2022 and put money in the bank.

Could always sell the 2022 as "brand new, never been driven" and keep the 2021. You'd just have to get it shipped.

I'd venture to say most people shopping this car are not spec sheet racers and probably do not care about 10 measly hp and torque difference that can easily be changed if they want to bother.
